Pauatahanui house

A major renovation transformed this modest 1950s house into a sleek and stylish modern family home that makes the most of its panoramic views across the Pauatahanui Inlet.

Over the years the house had undergone several alterations and additions. These were pared back, with the new design creating a unified look and feel while capturing views from multiple spaces.

 

New sheltered outdoor living areas were created, including an enclosed sunny courtyard complete with pizza oven.

The kitchen and bathrooms were modernised, and a home office was created - including a separate external spiral staircase entry.
